Stop sharing the junk that says “This person/baby is beautiful even with Down Syndrome.” It is insulting. They are beautiful because they are beautiful, not despite a chromosome problem. I hate seeing those stinking things. The child is beautiful, period.

Stop saying, people like Bill Gates have succeeded in spite of autism. He succeeded because of his autism. He made up his mind and he did it. It is amazing, just like it would be for any middle-class person to rise to the status of

He succeeded because of his autism. He made up his mind and he did it. It is amazing, just like it would be for any middle-class person to rise to the status of wealthiest person alive. Tim Burton is autistic, but people don’t know him for that. They know him for being the mastermind behind some of the best animation and movies in the past 3 decades. Autism makes conforming to sheeple thoughts difficult, not life altogether.

Stop telling children that are succeeding with ADHD that they are succeeding in spite of their disorder. Their disorder comes with challenges, but it does not make their hard work invalid. ADHD makes people like me have a determination and drive to get through when we set our minds to something and I seriously get pissed, for lack of better word, when people act like my disorder is debilitating. It isn’t even remotely. It is offensive for people to not even reign in their shock when they find out some of the most brilliant inventors had/have the disorder. We aren’t stupid, we just have to move or talk it through when we are doing stuff.

It is offensive for people to not even reign in their shock when they find out some of the most brilliant inventors had/have labelled with this or that disorder. Labels don’t make stupid people; Stupid people make labels.  We must not bow to accept the pretty label put on us. If the shoe fits we are half way there to solving our biggest problem. If that shoe doesn’t fit we haven’t lost a thing when we lay it aside.   just have

If that shoe doesn’t fit then we haven’t lost a thing when we lay it aside.  David Crockett, that self-made Texan, once revealed the maxim of his life, “Make sure you are right, then go ahead.” It took a fair-sized army to move David Crockett out of the course he intended to follow.

For many years I have had a small label applied to me. All ADHD means to me is that I must be careful when I’m doing something or planning to. Yes,  I must “Make sure I am right, before I go ahead.” I simply have to move or talk it through when I am doing stuff.
